1981-202140th anniversary Concerto FonterutoliFirst time tasting this incredible wine from Fonterutoli from different vintages ‘13 ‘15 ‘16 ‘18 ‘20 ‘21The wine comes from a single vineyard and the percentage of the blend is 80% Sangiovese 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Each bottle showed beautifully in different ways with the 2019 being the favourite of the table for its richness elegance and finesse.Thank you Petersham Cellar and Giovanni Mazzei for including me.

    My first co*cktail competition.For many years I also had the responsibility of the drink offer and had my fair share of co*cktails to stir and shake and even had the chance to play with spirits liqueurs mixers to create new experiences for our guests and presenting my latest creation at the Graham’s Bend Series co*cktail Competition 2024 has been like a celebration of this parallel career of mine. My idea was to have the sea in a glass, the Mare Nostrum is based on Graham’s Port n5 Grappa and White Wine, all elemets that have been at the center of the trade for centuries and brought people from different shores and traditions together.The competition was hard, many talented mixologists, but it was also fun and made me realise that often our will and passion can fill the gap with what we lack in expertise.Can’t wait to see what’s next!#grahams #port #fells #co*cktail #competition #passion

    Salvo Foto ‘I Vini del Vulcano’Book written (2005) when I was just starting to appreciate wine here and there and today, after drinking many many bottles, spent a few days on its black slopes hearing a few stories from the producers, this book still has much to tell me to better understand one of my favourite wine regions.     Be Kind!Right now I was supposed to watch the Verdi’s Luisa Miller in Tours, unfortunately it was cancelled in the afternoon due a strike of the orchestra. When I went to check if it was possible to be reimbursed I found one of the employees of the Theatre who hearing of my misfortune was so kind to let me have a peak of the interiors of the theatre itself considering I wasn’t on the position to reschedule my visit on a different date.Kindness exists, good people exist, we shouldn’t ever be scared or embarrassed to act selfless. You will get some in return here and there. Be sure of it.(PS I am having the best dinner of my stay in the meantime)#bekind #benice #bebrave #beopen #behappy #marianne

    ChinonThere should have been a reason for me to fall in love with the Cabernet Franc from Chinon. Today thanks to Kavin and Ian at Domaine Charles Joguet I understood why. Great terroir, amazing people and a landscape that can’t leave you indifferent. All of these add deepnees and elegance to the wines.
